In October, for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I helped create an ebook that gives women clear, useful info on prevention. No medical degree required. The project was launched through Hyperlocal, a company with over 200 people, and shared on LinkedIn to reach as many people as possible.
With breast cancer rates rising in Brazil, reliable information needs to be easy to understand. Too many resources feel intimidating or overly technical. So we used friendly illustrations and straightforward language to make the topic feel less scary. We hoped more women would feel encouraged to get regular checkups.
Creating art with a real purpose, especially around health awareness, has been deeply rewarding. Contributing illustrations to this project added a meaningful layer to my work. It reminded me how powerful visuals can be when you're trying to connect with people on an important topic.
I also loved collaborating with the writers on this project. Turning their words into images that truly resonate with readers brought the whole ebook to life.
