SCREENER is a board game that teaches the Drug Discovery and Development (DDF) process. In short, DDF is the long, complex journey from finding a potential new compound to turning it into a safe medicine that reaches patients.
I illustrated and designed every visual element of this colorful, hands-on game. As the lead artist, I worked alongside a multidisciplinary team of college professors, Pharmacology PhDs, computer scientists, and game designers. Together, we turned a heavy scientific topic into something playful and interactive.
SCREENER was born from SBFTE's educational initiatives. The goal is to help postgraduate Pharmacology programs offer a drug development course that students actually enjoy. Today, the game is being used in multiple higher education classrooms across Brazil and Portugal.
